1. Go to the Wikispaces site you would like to join. Under 'Actions' choose Join This Space.
2. If you don't have a Wikispaces account then join Wikispaces now under 'New to Wikispaces?'
3. Join Now. All you need is a Username, Password, and Email Address. Then click 'Join'.
Do NOT 'Make a Space', leave this as a 'No'. Further down you will see information about creating ad-free Spaces.
If this is a Protected wiki space, then you will have to wait for organizer approval:
Creating Your Own Space
Go to the 'Help' Page (near the top right of the page) then go to the Teachers help page. Note #3 - Sign up here.-or just use this link! This route makes it easy to get the ad-free site for your classroom.
I suggest choosing 'protected' spaces for student sites:
Students will have to be approved, and you can control who can edit, discuss and make changes, but the whole world can see what your students do. (A ClustrMap will show you where people have visited from.)
